Hello, and thank you for your interest in learning more about me. My name is Saunie Kohntopp. I live in Boise, ID with my wonderful husband, Gus, my two amazing children, Jared and Jessica and our brittany, Amber.
I have always been interested in arts and crafts. Cross-stitch, quilting, sewing, knitting, crocheting, the list seems endless, but I was always looking for something new and exciting. Then in February 2004 at a show, I saw my first lampwork beads. I was intrigued and had many questions. The wonderful local lampwork artist that was selling her beads happily gave me lots of information on lampworking. She offered the use of her studio so I could attempt to make beads myself. After that first day, I knew it was something I had to do! (Thanks Theresa for all your awesome support and guidance!) So, with lots of help and support from my family and friends, we purchased all the equipment and supplies to get started, took over part of the garage, and I have been making beads ever since.
All of my beads are properly kiln annealed for strength and durability. They are all thoroughly cleaned and inspected. If you have any questions regarding any of my pieces, please contact me.
I sell beads and jewelry here and on Ebay. My jewelry is also displayed for sale in a local gallery called Art of Framing Gallery.
